About
Wounded Warriors of Mississippi is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping post-9/11 Mississippi service members and veterans adjust to civilian life after returning with physical, mental, or emotional injuries. Based in Brandon, Mississippi, the organization focuses on holistic support across four main areas:
Mental & Social Wellness: Hosts peer-led social gatherings, reunions, and outdoor events where wounded veterans can connect with others navigating similar struggles to combat isolation.
Physical Assistance: Organizes community volunteers to assist disabled veterans with daily tasks and home mobility projects that have become difficult to manage independently.
Financial Relief: Provides direct financial assistance to help veterans cover essential emergency needs, such as utility bills, prescriptions, and basic living expenses.
Referral & Navigation Support: Helps bridge gaps in care by connecting veterans to state agencies, local resources, and complementary veteran services.
