USDA Rural Development provides five main types of support in Mississippi:
Single-Family & Repair Housing: Direct loans to help low-income families buy homes, plus Section 504 loans and grants to repair health hazards like failing septic tanks or roofs.
Multi-Family Housing: Financing and rental assistance for apartment complexes to ensure affordable housing for low-income residents and seniors.
Community Facilities: Grants and loans to help rural towns build essential public facilities, such as fire stations, hospitals, clinics, and police stations.
Mississippi Land Conservation Assistance Network
Water & Infrastructure: Funding to build, update, or repair municipal water systems, waste disposal facilities, electric grids, and high-speed internet.
USDA Rural Development
Business & Rural Energy: Loans, loan guarantees, and grants for local businesses, agricultural producers, and energy projects to help create jobs
