About
PFLAG Tupelo is a non-profit, volunteer-led community organization dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and allies across North Mississippi. To foster connection and mutual understanding, the organization hosts monthly peer-led support meetings for LGBTQ+ people, parents, and allies. They facilitate specialized support groups, book clubs, and virtual discussions tailored specifically for parents and allies of transgender and gender-expansive youth and adults. The chapter delivers community educational programming and workshops on key topics such as coming out, school safety, name change clinics, and suicide prevention. Additionally, PFLAG Tupelo drives local advocacy and community building by hosting film nights, social gatherings, and resource booths at area Pride events.
