Modivcare is the designated Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) manager for Mississippi Medicaid. The service provides free, accessible rides for eligible individuals who need transportation to and from covered medical appointments but have no other way to get there. Core offerings include:
Medical Appointment Rides: Schedules standard van, accessible wheelchair, and stretcher transportation for doctor visits, dialysis, therapy, and hospital discharges.
Gas Mileage Reimbursement: Provides reimbursement to members, friends, or family members who use their personal vehicles to drive a member to a qualifying medical appointment.
Public Transit Vouchers: Arranges passes or tickets for local public bus networks when public transit is available and accessible for the member.
Facility Portal & Member App: Enables members, caregivers, and medical providers to book, track, and manage rides online or through the MyModivcare app.
