About
The Mississippi Workers' Center for Human Rights is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1996. The organization provides legal advocacy, popular education, and community organizing to defend the rights and safety of low-wage, non-union workers across Mississippi. Core initiatives include:
Workplace Safety & Health: Educates workers on occupational safety rights and campaigns against hazardous working conditions, toxic exposures, and unsafe plant environments.
Resellers | MSATJC
Community Organizing & Leadership: Hosts "Know Your Rights" workshops, town halls, and leadership development programs (such as the Fannie Lou Hamer Emerging Leaders Program) to train workers in organizing and self-advocacy.
Public Campaigns & Outreach: Drives campaigns focused on living wage advocacy, environmental justice, anti-racism in the workplace, and human rights organizing across the South.

Free — Legal representation, community advocacy, workplace rights education, and organizing support provided by the Center are 100% free of charge for qualifying low-wage workers.

Low-wage workers, non-union employees, minority workers, and plant/factory labor force members across Mississippi experiencing workplace abuse, discrimination, or unsafe labor conditions.
