About

MSLegalServices.org is a statewide online legal aid portal maintained by the Mississippi Legal Services Coalition—a cooperative effort between North Mississippi Rural Legal Services (NMRLS), Mississippi Center for Legal Services Corporation (MCLSC), and the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP). Built on the LawHelp platform, the site helps low-income residents and seniors navigate non-criminal (civil) legal issues by offering:
Direct Legal Assistance & Advice: Connects eligible individuals to intake hotlines, legal aid attorneys, or pro bono lawyers for advice, consultations, and court representation.
Self-Help Resources & Downloadable Forms: Provides free court forms and step-by-step instructions for domestic abuse protection orders, paternity acknowledgments, and state benefit applications.
Legal Topic Information: Features educational guides covering housing and landlord-tenant rights, family law (divorce, child custody), public benefits (Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security), and consumer rights.
