About
The MSU Adapted Swim Camp, hosted by the Department of Kinesiology at the Sanderson Center, teaches swimming skills and water safety to individuals with special needs. Led by certified adapted swim instructors and trained volunteers, the five-day camp offers daily age-tailored sessions focusing on floating, stroke development, and building water confidence. Participants receive individualized instruction designed around their personal aquatic goals, with full registration scholarships available for families in need.

Who is eligible
This program is designed for children and adults at least 3 years of age with a diagnosed disability who want to learn water safety and develop swimming skills in a supportive, adapted environment.

Volunteer
Volunteers who are at least 15 years old and comfortable in the water are needed to work with campers for one session per day for five days. To volunteer, download the volunteer registration form from this page and send the completed form to:
